The bathroom can be the most neglected space in the house, evoking feelings of guilt, shame or plain fear. We often respond to these triggered emotions by over sanitizing this space; making it cold, sterile, bare, silenced, desacralized. Our dwellings seem to hide the bathroom or seek to subdue its design as we disconnect from body and soul. However, it might imperative to remodel the bathroom while planning a home renovation. It may help in increasing storage space, improving energy efficiency, and updating visual looks. In order to make your vision (regarding bathroom design) into a reality, you may need to contact experienced and reputed service providers like Georgia Home Remodeling for Bathroom Remodeling. This may further help in fixing any prolonged plumbing problem and in improving the usability and functionality of the bathroom.

A sacred space of flow

The bathroom is one of the most feminine, transformative, imaginative, healing and surreal spaces in the home where we can slow down. It is in the sacred space of the bathroom where we come in close contact with our naked selves, the wild natural processes of our bodies, and the sacred element of water that cleanses and restores our souls. We come in depleted, exhausted, stressed out and/or disconnected and emerge rejuvenated, renewed, reborn. This is then a call to celebrate the bathroom as a a place of creative flow, transformation, and self-care for our sensual, spiritual selves.

We can soften our bathroom space to embrace spaciousness, light, color, views, art, nature and symbols that relax, soothe, and inspire. Whether you are designing a bathroom from scratch, renovating one, clutter clearing, or simply making more subtle adjustments, here are some examples of inspirational bathrooms that embrace nature & the owner’s unique aesthetic. I encourage you to find your own. Infuse life into your bathroom: from sterile to fertile. I mean, imagine drawing a long bubble bath in your pristine bathroom after a stressful day at work, with a glass of wine and a few candles (checkout candle alternatives here) lit to create the perfect mood. What a relaxing experience that would be!
